Virtual Workshop For Young Writers (Ages 10-14)
Tuesdays, 4:00-5:30 We start with introductions, chatting and the creation of a word list. We follow with a short reading -- (either poetry or an example related to our writing prompts). We often brainstorm a prompt or use prompts known and loved by Woven Word writers. We offer many options and writers are invited to do what they want with prompts, or to write whatever they want. We write for 20-25 minutes. Writers then share their pieces and receive specific affirmative feedback from workshop members. Together we build a nest for writers to discover their voice.
