Teen Writers Workshop in Hadley, Ages 12-18 Wednesday 4:30-6:30pm, Session IV May 3 - May 31
We meet in person in Hadley * (with writers welcome to join virtually). * A few sessions may be held virtually.
We begin with a quick check in and brainstorm, followed by reading poetry together. We draw on regular Woven Word prompts and creating our own. We focus on building a safe nest for our writing together. Members are welcome to ignore the prompt and work with on going material.
After writing, we share our work with a snack/social break in the middle. In keeping with the Amherst Writers & Artists method we make affirmative comments, focusing on what is working in each writer's piece.
At the end of the year all participating writers are invited to join our Spring Reading/Potluck.
