Virtual Workshop for Writers Ages 10-14, Tuesday 4 - 5:30 PM EST, Semester II B. April 5-May 31, (8 weeks, not mtg. 4/19) *
We start with chatting, followed by a short reading -- either poetry or an example related to the writing prompts. After the reading we offer prompts to get the creative juices going. There are many choices, often including a set of line prompts, a specific writing exercise, and a group brainstorm. We vary between new approaches and a hit parade of prompts from Woven Word. We write for about 20-25 minutes. Writers are free to follow prompts or write whatever inspires them. After a chunk of solid creating, writers are invited to share their pieces and receive affirmative feedback, all in a safe, encouraging environment.
Sliding scale available to families with limited incomes – Please contact Lynn to inquire.
*Semester II B. will be facilitated by Woven Word leader Tom Brennan (see About section).
